Are Corvettes really good daily drivers?

To drive to work, to the grocery store, the gun, to run errands, to go to the beach. Would any Corvette be a good car for that?.

I can't speak to the new mid-engine Corvette (haven't been in one yet) but the front-engine Corvettes are surprisingly easy to live with anywhere it doesn't snow.  They offer reasonable cargo space, they're not high-strung so slogging in traffic isn't a problem, they're pretty reliable and aren't especially expensive to operate or maintain and they get decent fuel economy when you're not driving them hard.

I have  several types of vehicles and my 2017 Stingray is my daily drive. I live in a warm climate the key is to keep it maintained and clean and don't forget to save the wave

CORVETTES are GOD awful cars! They have a suspension like a MODEL T>>> meaning that they use a TRANSVERSE LEAF SPRING! They are SEVERELY crash prone.  If you hit a BUMP on one side, the SPRING will carry it to the OTHER SIDE and the thing HOPS! They FINALLY found a way to diminish this effect, but it STILL does the same thing! get a nice AUDI QUATTRO instead, used and CHEAP!. The CORVETTES are over powered and UNDER braked. They can CUT RUBBER form a block and GM just kept putting LARGER and LARGER engines in them that EAT GAS and SPIN tires better! The BODY is FIBERGLASS< which is a GOOD idea, but believe it or NOT  MOST of them just MAKE MORE NOISE and loose traction and SPIN SPIN SPIN! A used AUDI twin turbo quattro RS6 IS FASTER and SAFER and doesn't NOT waste any fuel on the way there. I have restor4d a few older CORVETTES and they were actually BETTER in a way! A 1980 350 VETTE only  made 180 HORSE POWER. to be EFFICIENT it should make at least 350 HP< or ONE HP per cubic inch! TODAY it is NORMAL to make TWO HP per cubic inch or even MORE.  I used to race my BOSS 302 against EVERYTHING back in the 70's and a VETTE spinning its tires would find itself in my REAR VIEW MIRROR The BOSS made 370 HP and it was MUCH SMALLER TIGHTER engine. They made a LOT of noise and didnt go as fast as people think. TWIN TURBO or SUPERCHARGED AUDI cars are MUCH more fun and will grip the road like SUPER GLUE! The VETTE is a good summer car where there is NO ROAD variations and SMOOTHE roads! otherwise you will end up in a DITCH someplace! A newer MUSTANG is TWICE the car and they had to invent a NEW type of DYNO to even test it! My brother had the original 427 vette with SIDEPIPES and TRI POWER! it again was a MASTER at burning rubber and making noise! SECOND gear had to be used because FIRST gear would just burn the rubber off! SO OVER POWERED and MIS MANAGED

Around here you would drag bottom in a lot of driveways and have door dents from the soccer moms SUV's when the kids pile out and groceries go in.

I wouldn't in my neighborhood because exotic cars draw too much attention.

I'd assume not.  Only two seats, vestigial trunk. More for posing.

"The gun" ?  What do you mean? I doubt you can fit a shotgun in trunk. Maybe front seat; IDK your law, there. We Can in my state.

But, if That's all you have,  you Have to. I did use my Harley  FX  (she has saddle bags, travel trunk) to get most groceries. Dog food was bungeed over passenger seat. I even took an 8'  2 x 6 home on her. They make gun scabbards for motorcycles.

No.   They eat gasoline,  the insurance is high and is higher the more you use it,   it has little trunk space and there are always people who will key the car just out of spite.

Their only value is as a ego boost from some people or as an investment. As an automobile they are not good for anything that others can do very well.

Expensive to repair and not good in rainy or snowy weather. I've had several.

No.  They are gas guzzlers, have touchy accellerators and would run into other cars in urban traffic.
