My deceased loved one will not leave me alone in dreams? ?

My step grandfather He played a very important role in our family, he sheltered us and was always down to earth and carrying. I lived with him when I was a kid for about three years and apart from that he use to drive me and pick me up from school while my mother was working. I moved back in his house for a year before he passed. I had a mental breakdown that year and he offered to take me under this wing.

He passed six years ago and Atleast I was lucky enough to spend 20 years of my life with him.

The last four years have gotten out of control with the dreams. My dreams take place inside his house sometimes involving me either alone or with him and other family members. Sometimes he tells me stuff or asks if I need a ride somewhere. These dreams happen almost every night for the past four years. Ironically he died in one of the bedrooms me and my mom use to sleep in. Under the care of a nurse.

Maybe it is you who will not release him!  And that is perfectly normal.  You are hanging onto the memories of him because of your need.  It sounds as if he was always kind to you and helped you along in Life.  Wouldn't it be lovely if you become like him in real Life?  It would be the best "Thank You" that you could ever give back to him.  If you feel as if you are falling apart and need help, please get into therapy with a social worker or Doctor you can confide in?  It sounds to me as if you need the help of a strong parental figure in your Life.  It helps you make it through.  Interview several people before you get into therapy.  Pick the person that you feel a connection with.  I wish you well.
