No one or group "must be hated". People CHOOSE to hate or not, whether it's an individual or a group. No one can make someone hate anyone, it's all up to each person.
It makes no sense to hate a large group of people, because they are all different.

Perhaps ask yourself why they have been kicked out of numerous countries over history; is it simple malevolence, or does the Jewish community bare some of the blame? A people who see themselves as separate from their surrounding culture and as an elite "chosen people," with loyalties to their own over others, are likely to be unpopular with their neighbors.
