Of course coffee is a drug. There are zillions of drugs that are commonplace. The difference between legal and illegal is usually rather arbitrary or historical. Beer is legal. Marijuana is not. Aspirin is legal, valium is only prescription. Pseudoephedrine was legal now it is not.
