Rode videomicro any good?
I make YouTube videos from home for my mother's free teaching channel for school kids... she is a retired teacher...is the voice quality good using this microphone? Or should I invest in something else? I have a Nikon d3500 and a Sony cx405 handycam... both of them don't have 3.5mm ports...but I plan to record audio separately on my Nokia 8.1 phone...does this mic work with my phone model?

Don't use your phone for recording.
Get a portable digital recorder.
A good basic model is the Tascam DR-05X (or whatever new version is out now).
It has two good mics permanently attached, and other mics can be connected to it.
For handheld or stand use, I would start with a Shure SM58
or a similar model from Audio-Technica.
These are dynamic microphones, not electrets or condensers.
They are better suited for normal environments than condenser mics are.
Or, if a lavalier mic is preferable, get a Shure SM11.
