What does it mean when GDP is lower than average household income?

    GDP cannot be lower than the average household income. That's... not possible. The entire country's economy cannot be smaller than the income of a single household in that economy. That makes no sense.

    You might mean average GDP. The two sources of data are not consistent. Average household income is a consensus in every four year time. GDP is a time series in every quarter of the year. Average household  income has more details about household than GDP, especially household debts.
