The USA is falling behind China. Why aren't they willing to learn from them?
Americans just insist white people are the superior race who doesn't need to learn from anybody, meanwhile the Chinese are happy to learn from the US. Now the US is falling behind China because China learns from everybody. US is being left behind. Arrogance will be their downfall.
3 AnswersPolitics4 months agoWhy is it that most poverty alleviation comes out of China, but western economists pretend Chinese economists don't exist?
They even gave out a Nobel prize recently to someone for their work on poverty alleviation, someone who didn't have anything to do with China and completely rejected even adopting a Chinese economic analysis.
It is strange to me how westerners continue to pretend like China doesn't exist and their economic theories are all crazy and fringe despite them being the largest economy in the world by GDP (PPP) and growing incredibly fast.
6 AnswersEconomics4 months agoWhy is it that everyone here is afraid of communism but no one can even define it?
Almost like you were programmed to say that and lack independent thought.
6 AnswersPolitics9 months agoWhy are Americans so sociopathic?
They always justify mass murder of millions of people in order to impose their beliefs onto other countries. They then accuse those countries of bringing it onto themselves for violating American dictums.
7 AnswersPolitics11 months agoWhen will the USA join the rest of the civilized world and finally abolish slavery?
US Constitution legalizes slavery in the 13th Amendment.
"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, e͟x͟c͟e͟p͟t͟ ͟a͟s͟ ͟a͟ ͟p͟u͟n͟i͟s͟h͟m͟e͟n͟t for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."
It's not surprising then to find that the US has (1) the largest incarceration rate in the world per capita and the largest absolute prison population in the world, but also (2) forced prison labor is commonplace.
7 AnswersPolitics11 months agoWhy do people still say western-style capitalism is perfect and we shouldn't be critical of it when it is clearly a failure?
1.
Wealth inequality in the US is on a consistent rise. This means that even thought there is more money being created, most people do not see the benefits.

2.
GDP per capita in the US as well as most countries in Europe is expected to DECLINE in the next several decades. This means less money to go around, combined with more money concentrated at top, inevitably means that the median person will be POORER in the future. Living standards are projected to DECLINE.

The irrationality of the markets leads to periodic economic crashes as it fundamentally is incapable of responding to crisis well. "Panic" in situations like the Dust Bowl, the 2008 housing market crash, or now the coronavirus, lead to enormous economic collapses as everyone tries to act in their own individual interests, leading to anarchic and irrational responses to crisis, and often exacerbate rather than solve them. The US is currently hitting its 7th recession since 1970, roughly an economic crisis every 7 years.
6 AnswersPolitics11 months agoDo you agree with Democrats that math is an opinion? ?
Trip Gabriel of the New York Times reported that the Iowa Democratic Party refused to correct blatant math errors on the election results because:
"The incorrect math on the Caucus Math Worksheets must not be changed to ensure the integrity of the process...Any judgement of math miscalculations would insert personal opinion into the process."
3 AnswersPolitics1 year agoWhy are Democrats so corrupt they rig their own elections?
Des Moines Register just reported that the Iowa Democratic Party changed an enormous number of votes from Bernie Sanders to Deval Patrick.
3 AnswersPolitics1 year agoHow much will you cry when socialism wins this election?
10 AnswersPolitics1 year agoIf it is true that a socialist can't win in the US, shouldn't Republicans vote for Bernie in the Democratic primaries?
Assuming their state has an open primary, of course.
4 AnswersPolitics1 year agoHow many Republicans are triggered by a national holiday that not only celebrates a black person but also a socialist?
"The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and evils of racism." - MLK
"There must be better distribution of wealth and maybe America must move toward a democratic socialism." - MLK
"I imagine you already know that I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic… [Capitalism] started out with a noble and high motive… but like most human systems it fell victim to the very thing it was revolting against. So today capitalism has out-lived its usefulness." - MLK
"Call it democracy, or call it democratic socialism, but there must be a better distribution of wealth within this country for all God’s children." - MLK
"You can’t talk about solving the economic problem of the ***** without talking about billions of dollars. You can’t talk about ending the slums without first saying profit must be taken out of slums. You’re really tampering and getting on dangerous ground because you are messing with folk then. You are messing with captains of industry. Now this means that we are treading in difficult water, because it really means that we are saying that something is wrong with capitalism." - MLK
9 AnswersPolitics1 year agoWhy is western media coverage of Russia always so ridiculous?
Just look at these articles right now.
CNN
Title: "Russian government resigns as Putin proposes reforms that could extend his grip on power "
Content: "The surprise announcement came after Putin proposed constitutional amendments that would strengthen the powers of the prime minister and parliament at the expense of the presidency. Taking power from the presidency and handing it to parliament could signal a power shift that has been long speculated about in Russia."
CNBC
Title: "Putin consolidates power as Russian government resigns "
Actual content: "The Russian leader proposed a national vote on constitutional changes that would push power toward the prime minister and the parliament, and away from the presidency. It’s seen as potentially limiting the power of Putin’s successor if he steps down in 2024."
The content is LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE of the title! Ever since Yeltsin shelled the Russian parliament and forced a constitution through that gave ridiculous power to the parliament, Russia's effectively been a dictatorship. Putin wanting to restore the powers of parliament should be seen as a good thing, but somehow the titles of these articles all directly contradict the content.
