When will the USA join the rest of the civilized world and finally abolish slavery?

US Constitution legalizes slavery in the 13th Amendment.

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, e͟x͟c͟e͟p͟t͟ ͟a͟s͟ ͟a͟ ͟p͟u͟n͟i͟s͟h͟m͟e͟n͟t for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."

It's not surprising then to find that the US has (1) the largest incarceration rate in the world per capita and the largest absolute prison population in the world, but also (2) forced prison labor is commonplace.

How stupid can you be to confuse incarceration with slavery.

The rest of the civilized world ALSO incarcerates their criminals.  What exactly are you trying to prove with your ignorance?

Furthermore, the ACTUAL slave trade continues to exist in much of Africa and parts of Asia pretty much unfettered there as many of the tribal leaders that were always involved in the slave trade are also  involved in their governments.

Educate yourself first.  Then ask a proper question.

It did quite some time back (160 years ago), and got rid of the last "Jim Crow" laws 55 years ago.  There are still OTHER countries that have "slaves" in them (even if they're not referred to as such).
