Why is Google search so superior compared to Yahoo search?
Don't get me wrong, I like Yahoo Answers and I was on it before I started using Reddit, but in terms of search engines, Yahoo is pretty awful. Google is much better.

I dont use either i use duckduckgo it throws up the same results you would get from google but with no tracking of my browsing history and no pesky advertisements

They took all the good things from Microsoft Explorer, cut out the bad, listened to users, and added a few new twists. Used with Firefox, it is near ideal.
While Microsoft followed (along with Yahoo) the programmers ideas of what they wanted, and "improved" only to keep themselves working.
