Should healthy people be forced to wear mask if they tested negative or have antibodies?

IMO Masks have very low efficacy since they're being re-used for weeks/months by most people that I've talked to.  Those I haven't you can tll their mask is used when they're dirty. It's basically a passport to enter places of business here in L.A.  Also breathing out the air when wearing a basic mask takes the most efficient route, the sides. People can't afford to throw away their masks daily and good masks are expensive. CDC wants everyone to wear masks, stating that masks reduce the transmission of respiratory droplets from an infected person, but what about a healthy one? World Health Organization (WHO) states that "healthy people don't need to wear face masks to prevent coronavirus spread."  Which is true in your opinion?  Try not to be rude please.https://www.cdc.gov/infectioncontrol/basics/transm...

Testing negative doesn't mean you're home free.  The test is a snapshot in time.  You can test negative and be infected but just not have developed the infection to a point where the test detects it.  Or you could have an accurate negative test but then become infected later.  Unless you're testing every single day you'd have no way of knowing.

A person with the antibodies would probably be pretty safe to not wear a mask.  There have been some cases of reinfection with corona and it seems probable that these people can spread the virus.  But they also seem very rare.

But from a public health standpoint, it makes sense to have everyone wear a mask.  That's just a lot easier than making exceptions.  Imagine you're a store owner and the policy was "you have to wear a mask unless you've got corona antibodies".  How would you police that?  Would you just take people's word at it?  That's inviting dishonest and disrespectful people to spread the virus by just claiming to have already had covid.  Would you require documentary proof of immunity?  In most settings that would be a huge hassle to police and verify.  And how would shoppers or people in any other venue know if the guy walking around without a mask is doing so because they're covid free or because they're just an *** hole?  It's  much easier and safer just to have everyone wear a mask.

  • Having a negative test doesn't mean you're any more or less likely to get covid 19, you can still get the virus if you test negative.

I think not true...Healthy people should wear a mask to reduce their chances of getting it. You don't know who could have covid, people can contract it and not have symptoms. I've been relatively healthy through out covid, I've been wearing a mask when asked to or when it's mandatory.

That's why you should practice physical distancing as much as possible, even while wearing a mask. It's mandatory to wear masks in my area too, at indoor public areas and on public transit.

My issue with masks, some people that wear them feel that they don't have to physical distance because they're wearing one.

I am perfectly healthy and I plan to stay that way by wearing a mask whenever I am around other people. Your mask protects you from others. They are highly effective. Ignore the dangerous misinformation online.

Not to worry, my fellow Angeleno. The Board of County Supervisors and "Dr." Barbara Ferrer will be closing all those business so you'll no longer need a passport to enter them. You will though be allowed to just break the windows and set them on fire as that's one of the few protected activities they're not shutting down.
