A gallbladder is a small organ found beneath the liver that is used to store and transport bile. Bile is produced by the liver to help process and digest fats. It is passed from liver to gallbladder through bile ducts and then releases that bile into the small intestines when the digestive system needs it typically after a fatty meal.
