Setting aside the fact that your question probably should have been posted to a more appropriate category,I want to say that the ideal way to move an upright freezer is exactly the same way that its' meant to be used, and that is UPRIGHT.If you are unable to transport it that way and need to lay it down, then I strongly suggest that you stand it up asap afterwards, and WAIT. Wait at least a full day before you turn it back on again or you will damage the freezer forever. Don't believe what I say ? Then look it it up yourself.

In what ever way is easiest for you.
If you tip it even slightly from vertical, just be sure to leave it sitting for at least 24 hours, to allow the gases to settle, before you turn it on.

Upright. Hauling refrigerators or freezers in a position other than the position they normally stand in when in use can mechanically damage them, can result in them no longer working.
