power vs democracy ? which is better ???

One could say it depends on whether you have the power or not. 

Democracy means people having as much power as possible over their own lives. Not being pushed around by employer, state or market. 

What democracy? Both are the same thing

I guess power since Democracy never really ends up existing. Do you think the government would actually let the average person have any power or make any important decisions?

Pure democracy is mob rule and it is not a good thing. Only a good and noble people can rule themselves they need to recognize the rights of the minority.
