China virus or CCP virus simply do not exist.. please stop being part of the problem and being a noise for confusion out there.. the current pandemic is called COVID-19 pandemic (or better known as SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and not to be confused with the original SARS-CoV).. you know it as COVID-19, the Chinese know it as COVID-19, the average American know it as COVID-19, almost everyone on the planet know it as COVID-19.. so stop introducing new terms that only divide people instead of uniting them in a common cause against a deadly infection!!
and COVID-19 is a pandemic.. it is not an endemic like Typhoid (i have treated several cases of Typhoid Fever in my country, because it is endemic in our region).. and my country was faced against the SARS coronavirus epidemic in the mid 2000s, and we briefly went into the MERS coronavirus scare during the Hajj seasons in mid 2010s.. my country also went through the Swine-flu epidemic, the bird flu-epidemic and few other epidemics and endemics.. our tropical country know the value of mask-wearing and you hardly see anyone complaining about masks in country..
COVID-19 coronavirus is a pandemic, because my country was hit by it, America was hit by it, China was hit by it, the middle east was hit by it, Europe, Africa etc.. .. .. almost every country on Earth was hit by COVID-19 - therefore, it is a pandemic.. Pan is from a Greek word that means "all", "of everything", or "involving all members" of a group..
an epidemic when a large number of countries were hit by the illness, but not all nor most.. an endemic is when small regions or small locations were hit by the illness.. and unfortunately, we do have few cases of Typhoid fever every year - usually around the current flood season.. also Malaria and Dengue haemorrhagic fever DHF are also common endemics in our region..
