Madonna ain't no artist. She is the Material Girl. She is only in it for the money  Strange that you list Richard Thompson instead of Richard and Linda Thompson. I guess you like his solo efforts more. I like his album Across a Crowded Room, in which he was singing about the heartbreak of Linda leaving him. So so singing voice but great songwriting and guitar playing. Bonnie Raitt made a great cover of the song When the Spell is Broken, in a tribute album to Thompson by various artists.
