My guess is that the rich countries will be vaccinated (as far as people want to be) before 2021 is over.

Never, covid is just the beginning of many changes, most for the worse. And Covid isn’t even close to being as bad as a pandemic can be and probably will be eventually. Our nasty habits of world travel and trade will spread any new pandemics like wild fire, as well as other things like invasive species. All of which brought on by our ‘for profit at any cost’ society.
