The Israelites were surrounded by pagan nations.
The Law which included laws on morality was given to them to keep them seperate and holy as they were God's chosen people. The Mosaic Law consisted of over 600 laws on all aspects of life.

Morals are demonstrated by actions not words. The biblical “morals” are shown by murder, mass murder, coercion, torture, slavery, stoning, animal cruelty, and misogyny.
