Purolator make a good after market air filter. Stay away from cleanable air filters. The oil on them migrates to the MAF sensor and ruins the MAF.

Here's a hint for ya, if you say you're going to include a list, INCLUDE A LIST.

Otherwise you are just another candidate for Yahoo's Fail of the Day award...

The one that fits and is changed at the correct interval , which is dependant on your environment as well as mileage.

Good point by thebax2006 , the reusable oiled ones are touted as performance filters ( less restricted) and as economical as they are reusable ( Ive probably bought 10 air filters ever over 30 years, £100? , you’re not saving much), but they can upset the MAF sensor.

I live in the country and drive on a highway where there is virtually no other traffic. Consequently my air filter and cabin air filter last an inordinately long time.

    .

And since all they have to filter is basically bug bits and pollen, I buy the cheaper air filters.

    .

But if I was living back in the city it would be FRAM FILTERS exclusively.

It sounds like you fail at life like you fail at Y/A.  I go with Wix in all things filters.

no, an air filter has pretty much NO effect on engine life. that's BS. Any cheap but reasonable quality filter will do.
