does marriage get boring?

Yes, and quickly. Many women play the perfect woman until the honeymoon is over. Then you will almost have sex all the time, you will almost have sex on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and even Sundays. Then once she controls him, and at some point she will, and then she will lose respect for him, and then sometime later the cheating and divorce will start up. And this is not even odd anymore, practically expected.
It usually takes a few Ex-Wives for a man to learn certain truths. Women gain most in marriage, and even more in divorce. Men, maybe some community respect that might translate to some promotions and status, but it will almost always come undone and Rome always fails at some point, if not this year, maybe next.

Im not married yet although i feel like am and im not bored of my partner after all this time. It's been eight years. Its just something you have to work at and knowing how to have fun together inside and outside of bed makes it fun. Its just people these days dont wanna put effort into any relationship and then they wonder why the other person doesnt wanna stick around. It takes two to make it work you can't be half way in the relationship you have to be all there or it won't go well.

Everything gets boring if you're not investing in it and working to keep it interesting.

LIFE has a way of settling into a routine. If you don't like your routine, then you can change things. Change doesn't always work out well. Sometimes change translates to "Everything was smooth sailing and then you went and mucked it all up out of boredom, ya schmuck!"
It's called CONTENTMENT. Only boring people find "everything is going OK" to be boring. Get yourself some interests and you won't be bored anymore. You'll be interested in stuff. And because you are interestED you will be interestING -- a lot less boring and certainly not BORED.
