Can I be indicted for this?
If someone accuses me of a major crime in a sworn affidavit, can I be indicted for that? Or would the courts require more evidence?

A confession of affidavit alone is not enough to condem you for any crime. There has to be corroborating evidence, or any lawyer worth holding the title can get the charges kicked as hearsay.

A sworn affidavit is not a proof. You might be accused, but if the affidavit is all they have, there is no real evidence and you would never be convicted.
