    It isn't changed nightly.

Each color scheme is for a different cause.

Some of the more well known color schemes are:

    Rainbow colors for Pride

    Red for Valentine's Day

    Red and Green for Christmas

Blue and Gold to celebrate the Warriors

Red and Gold to celebrate the forty niners

Orange to celebrate the SF Giants

Pink to mark the women's march

Red and gold to mark Chinese New year

Red, white and blue on President's day & the 4th of July

Purple to celebrate Women's History Month in March

Green, Red and Black to celebrate Black History Month

    Green for St Patrick's Day

You can find a current schedule here:https://sfgov.org/cityhall/lighting
