Could it be more dramatic?

The mob erected gallows in front of the Capitol and stated they were planning to murder VP Mike Pence.  And they like him.  Imagine what they would do to AOC, who they hate.  

They beat a cop to death with a flagpole.  There were militia men in tactical vests.  Some were armed.  They ran through the halls shouting to find Pelosi and Shumer.  You probably saw the portion where the capitol police calmly let the walk through, but in other spots they beat cops and battered them with their own barricades.

I'm no fan of AOC, but trying to minimize this treasonous coup attempt is not the right approach.  The Republican Party is committing political suicide.  Donors are swearing off ever giving to them again.  Election boards are reporting unusual swells of people changing party away from the GOP.  They lost Georgia which used to be a safe state for them.  

Unless the Dems make a massive mistake between now and 2022, expect the GOP to lose HUGE numbers of seats in the midterm.

They killed a cop and he was only doing his job.
