What do you think of the name Charlene?

I do like it. I don't know if I would ever name my daughter that, but I do think that it is cute. It reminds of an old 80's-90's sitcom called designing women.

It's fine for a girl. It peaked in popularity in the late 40s and early 50s which fits in with the Designing woman timeline.

Charlene is good, solid, and it's never too common.  Go with Charlene.

It's okay but I wouldn't consider it for a name.

I agree with conley39 -- Charlene sounds like someone born in the late 1940s or 1950s. All those "-lene" names were popular back then -- Darlene, Carlene, Arlene, Charlene, Marlene, Laurene, Maureen, Doreen.

It’s okay. I don’t like it. Nor would I use it because it’s so dated

It's dated.  My granddaughter's wicked stepmother is named Charlene.  I hate the name.

It's okay, but a bit dated. I much prefer Charlotte, it's a timeless classic.

It could sound good with a good last name.

I would personally call my kids with a common name that sounds good overall.
