You could ask about how they go about forecasting sales, and how they determine levels of inventory that they need to keep in stock.

Ask about the competition and inventory shrinkage. Hiring practices, what they look for in new hires and management. Are they closing stores due to covid. What are the criteria when choosing a new site to open a store. Ask about how employees are trained to handle a dangerous situation (This just happened where I live. There was a shooting in a mall, and all the store employees got the customers to the back of the stores. It was impressive.).

Edit: Make sure you send a nice thank-you note after to let the manager know how much you appreciate his or her time.

Ask how and where did you decide to set up shop.  What measures do you take to see if you made good choices.  How and why did you select the cosmetics field to begin with.  What do you do to keep tabs on your competition.
