Question

a couple yrs ago, I had gone on a date a lunch date w a guy I met from a dating site. I was 35 at the time, (37 now) and he was younger than me---26. anyways he preferred women older than him. he was EXTREMELY good looking and looked JUST like zac efron. we met off this kinky website called "adult friend finder'. anyways he seemed to like me at first, but he looked near my cleavage area and looked either disappointed or weirded out. i a bc up. anyways he then said "aren't you gonna eat" Im the type when Im shy or nervous or excited I cant eat. and he seemed almost concerned. then i mentioned later how i have a daughter casually and his whole demeanor changed. he said "you have a daughter?" like that. and later texted me about he "just wanted to have fun, not date women w children". but i wasn't even asking him to meet my daughter or anything like that, it's not unheard of for women my age to have children. 
he worked near me unfortunately so we often passed by each other on the street and it was very awkward we both didn't say a word. 
does it sound like a cop-out like he was using that as an excuse? or was this really a big dealbreaker for him? 
I know it was a couple yrs ago but was watching a movie w zac efron in it and it reminded me of him.

Kids are a dealbreaker for many men, and most guys don't want to settle down. But a lot of my mom's friends actually have trouble dating because men don't want them BECAUSE they dont have children! They assume infertility or that the woman isnt motherly. He was 26, he might have been thinking he can't hook up with you at your house because the kids would be there and he would have to work around your busy schedule. It's not your fault. Also dont listen to the dumbass comments under your question that are rude. You were just asking a question, you weren't "mooning" over this dude.

Could be either. Children are a deal breaker for a lot of people, especially younger people who have no children of their own.it is also possible he didn’t find you physically attractive in person. But based on what you said it sounds like the bigger issue was you being a parent.

I mean, you found this guy on an adult sex play site:  did you really expect to find "marriage material" there?  I'd guess 99.9% of people on there, but especially the men, are just looking for sexual release hook ups and play time.  Don't you think?

It is a perfectly legitimate "deal breaker" for someone to not want to date a person with children. Why are you still mooning after this lookalike with M. Efron, when years have passed?
