Why are there always Christmas themed commercials still shown throughout January?

Seriously, the holiday season is over now.  They can put these commercials off the air until after Halloween at least.  I’m still seeing Christmas/holiday commercials on TV a lot, I saw a few today.  One being the Liberty Mutual nostalgia commercial and another being the NFL Holiday themed commercial

    Because people are still in the holiday spirit.

    Because networks haven't used all the paid commercial time.

    Because some stay in the holiday mood for a week or two into January. From there it just gets tacky.

    They have to get rid of it all the commercial items left.
