swim bladder medication ?

hello it is the first day with my new goldfish and he is swimming funny upside down and floating up sometimes, should i try fasting him for a couple days or what type of medication should help?

    Try feeding it the inside of peas / shelled peas.

    did u use tap water then use a water conditioner to get rid of the fluoride and other toxins in the water? Do u have a filter to keep the water clean.Yes contact the place where u brought the fish
