The cornhusker kickback graft was needed to pass the unaffordable care act.  Will more graft of this kind be needed for Biden's expansion?

https://omaha.com/livewellnebraska/obamacare/what-...

quoting...

Former President Bill Clinton reportedly told House Democrats in 2010, “That Nebraska thing is really hurting us.”

Nelson said that his no vote on the final law was not an attempt to blunt the unpopularity of his earlier vote.

Update:

the spirit of the question is is GRAFT needed to pass a law that was based on a lie and has proven with double digit rate increases in  thirty states and bankruptcies in nine to be unsustainable.  graft has nothing to to with whether individuals find it convenient or not.  GRAFT isnt ethical moral or in the spirit of how the country was built.  GRAFT is consideration to do something against common sense or principles. i guess the real question is if were ok with this, where does it end.

Update 2:

lets be clear here, were talking about unquestionable graft.  if we approve of this and pathological lying as was in the unaffordable care act, the next implied question is when or where does it stop.  this isnt getting what you want.  its PAYING FOR what you want with questionable legality

Update 3:

if the faithful had bothered to READ THE DESCRIPTION...it was used to gain the vote and disavowed AFTER not before.  nice hair split though.

The so called Cornhusker Kickback wasn't part of Obamacare as it was finally passed.   This is a myth that has become widespread on the right.

Yeah, that whole "Compromise to get what you want" thing.

Trump's ideas are better: send out the militia.

I'm a single issue voter, and that issue is healthcare. I would have voted for Trump if he supported a single-payer system. That's how strongly I feel about it.

American healthcare is fundamentally broken at every level unless you're among the richest 10% of Americans. It is not a sustainable model, and hundreds of thousands of people are dying every year due to lack of access to basic medical services.

So to answer your question — I don't give a f*ck what kind of kickback, graft, bribe, or backroom deal is necessary to move the needle. I support whatever it takes to fix America's healthcare system.

Personally, I like that insurance companies can’t kick you off insurance mid treatment. It used to happen like that before the law.
