I stopped a truck's power tailgate from continuing to lift when it would have crushed a guy's ankle if it had done so.

I marked out an area around my machine where material was swinging into a walkway, and standing outside the unsafe area to warn employees. The boss said it was unnecessary and I was wasting time and fired me. I reported him to OSHA and they shut him down for two weeks, which ruined his on time delivery to his customers and it put him out of business.
