I have a dashcam and I need...?

a preferably free video editor, I had windows movie maker but I haven't been able to find it in years what happened to it? Right now I just need to edit the dashcam videos, shorten them to the important parts which will also help save space, I have no way to edit them. I made some videos years ago with WMM that's on youtube of games, and that's it. My experience and need is quite limited and basic.
