ALL ' flea medication' is a chemical poison and clearly caused your cats fits/siezures so you need to know what medication pets and home vet techs used ( so if you go elsewhere you can inform the vet) and what vets at home are going to do about furture treatment costs your cat needs because of the 'treatment' they gave...but be warned you sign as owner to take any risk to 'treatments' given........... but they should at least be told and asked what are they prepared to do especially as it can be a long term issue

If your pet has developed an allergic reaction to the flea medication, I'm betting the vet will advise you to use an alternative flea medicine in the future, with a different formula. My dog developed incredibly swollen, long-lasting hives all over her body from one particular flea drop medication.

Obviously you need to ask your vet this question. If he's not giving you an answer, find another vet.
We are not vets here.
