    Yes.  ... and they weren't putting a lot of money in the bank, which ended up with a situation where someone with money could buy them.

    I remember those days.  But now I remember that I can simply add an adblocker to Firefox, and block, not only YouTube ads, but ads on other websites as well.  Ublock Origin.  It's well worth getting for blocking unwanted and intrusive ads.
