How long does a pet scan take?

Tomorrow I am going to have a pet scan done just to take a look at my colon a few months back it was a little bit inflamed which caused a little bleeding when I went to the bathroom nothing serious related. They just  want recheck my colon and make sure everything's okay they're going to give me the medicine for the IV just curious how long everything will take such as how long it will take to medicine to get to my body and how long the pet Scan will be in general. Again no serious issues just a follow up.

    It'll SEEM to take forever,  but this is how doctors can 'see' into you because soft tissue doesn't show on x-rays in high detail or at all.

    Generally 30 - 60 minutes.

    45 minutes or so, maybe a little bit longer.
