Domino's large peperoni supreme is a bit under $20. When you consider there is a restaurant tax thing in SF that I forget the details of that's not so bad. Some of it is that most pizzas are not franchise pizzas where the ingredients are delivered by an 18 wheeler.

Really not sure why the idiot clown snot even comes here. Way too much time on his hands, I guess.

The cost of living is high in SF.  Figure in the state/local high taxes, rents, regulations, etc., and that should give you a clue.

Is it? I know Supremo Pizza on 6th St offers a large slice of pizza for only $3-4. We also have pizza chains like Papa John’s and Domino’s if you want to a cheap pie.

Pretty much everything in SF is expensive.

But almost anywhere the days of $10 large pizza are long gone.

Because San Francisco is full of fake-***, elite wannabe, pseudo-intellectual, douche-bags. That's why.

Can't answer for your neck of the woods, but where I am, it's flippin' expensive too, even before covid.
