Some of my cds sound scratchy in my computer but play fine in my cd player why is that

haha man been a pc tech for 6 years, it is actually normal in computers to do that especially older models! i truly mostly experienced this in dell systems like optiplexes and such, the disc has to spin in the tray to work, so its just the disc inside the optical drive keeping the cd running its totally fine buddy!

I'd say it's an faulty optical drive. Replace it--it's not that expensive.
