Should I get rid of my fancy clothes?

I don’t need them for my part time job as a support worker, or for catching up with my poor best friend, or going to the gym three days a week, or visiting my long distance boyfriend.  They take up a lot of space and they’re no longer important to me in my thirties.  However, there may still be occasions to dress up.  For visiting other friends or attending weddings or something.  Should I keep them or discard them?

Because of the pandemic, and our changing lifestyles, our closets are also changing.  I have gotten rid of some dressy clothes because I know I won't be wearing them, they took up too much space, and I've gone more casual. There were clothes I just kept looking at and never wore. If that is the case for you, definitely think about donating them.  The clothes can go to people in need.  Perhaps hang onto a few dressier outfits so that you have them if and when a special occasion comes up. There might even be an organization in your area who would pick up the clothes you're donating.

If you really want to get rid of some things, just get rid of the stuff you never wear.

Keep your favourites, discard the rest as you have no use for them anymore and will free up space.
