has anyone else had a dental office tell them this before ?

i had a dentist appointment this wednesday at a place called encore dental to remove some teeth the doctors office

they called me today a little bit ago to remind i can not take a uber or a lyft to the appointment

they said i signed a paper to agree to that i don't remember that

i never have heard of something like this before like you can't take a lyft or uber this is crazy

    They want a friend or relative waiting for you.

    you need someone to pick you up so they can make sure you are safe

    i was planing on taking my mom with me but we dont drive so we were going to take a lyft

    No. it's not crazy. They want someone taking you home who will see that you get inside safely and make sure you are fine before they leave. Uber and Lyft don't do that.

    They want someone to bring you so that that person can take you home when you are groggy (from the meds) and in pain from having the teeth extracted.  That is not the job of an Uber or Lyft driver.

    That sounds stupid if you wear a mask and use hand gel anyway.  How are you supposed to get there: Startrek 'teleporter'?
