How is "Only the sith deal in absolutes,"not an absolute. ?

yep.  makes me do a head slap every time I think of that line.  drives me nuts.  I just can't get over how that went through the writer, the director, the actor, and a hundred other people and nobody raised their hands and said "uh, we gotta a little problem here...."

I get that George Lucas wanted to make a big political statement with that exchange, but it just wound up making him look stupid.
