Is a note from a doctor before they retired still valid?

About 7 years ago before my doctor retired i got a medical exemption from him so i could apply for disability, Some things changed and i didnt end up applying but the issues have been returning and i think i may need that assistance now.

Just curious if that note would still be considered valid or not

a doctors note would not be valid after seven years - a lot can change in that time, you would have to see another doctor and get another medical exemption note

a 7 year old doctor's note means nothing.

not after 7 years.  documentation would need to be from within the last year and you would need additional current documentation.  and there is no 'exemption' to allow you to apply for disability in the US.

to get disability in the US, you have to be disabled DESPITE treatment, if you have not been under treatment in the last 7 years, you don't qualify.

for disability?  no.  you need current physician's written statement

No, you're going to need recent examination and test results from a current practicing physician to support your claim.
