How much is too many mileage on a Honda?

I got a 2007 with 30K on it.  Yeah, I don't drive much.  Shows you the range that COULD BE OUT THERE.   I am not planning to sell for 30 years.

.  So you got about average miles on it.  There may be others out there with less and with more.   If you are happy with it go for it.   It will last until it don't work.  You will probably smash it up by that time, or roll it or trade it in for a Porsche.  Really depends on how lucky you get. There is no timing belt.

,If it is a good deal in your eyes, then it is good.  I am assuming you checked and compared to what else is out for sale like Toyotas.

If the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 90,000 miles you've got 22,000 more miles to go before the next timing belt replacement is due. That's a good $700 job. The valves need adjusting every 60,000 miles on that motor. How are the tires and brakes?

a] Never trust what an owner says.

b] Unless you know if they maintained the car properly and have the receipts to prove it, and they didn't drive it to roughly and abuse it, which is hard to know if you don't really know them, then there's no way of knowing if it's a good deal or not.

c] At minimum, if you're not willing to take it to a shop that specializes in Hondas so that a thorough test drive and pre-buy inspection can be done, you will be gambling. How lucky do you feel?
