Pain during ovulation? 10 points!!?

I have a question. Is it normal to get pain in your lower abdomen around your ovulation time? I sometimes experience a sharp pain in my abdomen and anus around my ovulation. Also lack of appetite.

Thessy, this is so normal it has a name, mittelschmerz. (I don't speak German, but I bet it means middle pain or something close.)

Not all of us have it, but plenty do, sometimes sharp, sometimes a dull ache, sometimes with spotting. Mine was acute enough that I could tell which ovary was "firing."

Next time you see your gynecologist, make sure they know. They may have recommendations that will lessen it.
