Who are "they"? I wouldn't listen to people so stupid that they say "two masks is" instead of "two masks are." Even if two masks are better than one, that does not mean that they are exactly twice as good. And even if that were true, it would not mean that ten masks are ten times as good. I hope you won't listen to stupid people like "them" in the future.
