CT scan contrast dye?

Hello, I've had CT scans in the past a number of times. I only would have to get the IV contrast in the past. I decided to do this one locally and they are requiring an oral contrast and IV. Is this safe?

Yes of course. Certain CTs of the abdomen for example show more with oral and IV contract.

So do you think they would do it if it was not safe.  If so, then get another doctor.
