Promise to do lots of chores, car payments, go to school if they ask.
Work out a deal.
I got a jeep for my 18th birthday but sacrificed over 10 years of my life slaving off remodeling my moms houses for cheap labor working for free ling hours, and always hearing that card guilt used against me.
Nice parents dont give gifts with a catch or strings attached.
Anyway try to make a deal.

Time to learn that you can't "get" other people to do specific things simply because you WANT them to or even because you NEED them to.
If your parents are financially able to buy you a vehicle and you think its something they're open to, then simply tell them what you like and hope that they take the hint.

Jeep is now made by FIAT Motors so is really a PoS.
No one needs one. If you want it or need it take the car the parents give you and use that as a bargaining chip and as a tool to search out for private sales. Jeeps in peoples yards with a 4 sale sign on the window. You can find better deals that way than by going to a dealer lot. Get a used one. As the big bugs have shown themselves and been covered under manufacturer's warranty or by the owner. I am not saying everything is fixed, but the major issues were addressed. Which as a used car takes most of the new price off of it. That is the major depreciation right there...in the first 3 years of ownership.

Perhaps you should face reality. If you can't afford the Jeep right now get a cheap vehicle to get you to work and start saving. A Jeep will be way too expensive for car insurance at your age.
