What do you guys think of the name Marlene? Love? Hate it? Indifferent?

Baby name aficionados or just anyone with an opinion lol  what do you guys think of the girls name Marlene? Love it? Hate it? Somewhere in between? Let me know what you guys think. I myself quite like it. It's grown on me, and  has earned a notch in my favorite girls names list.
What about you guys? What would you rate? If you do like it, what middle name would you pair with it?  I honestly have no ideas.

I can't say I hate the name, it comes in somewhere around the middle of my list. It isn't bad, it is a sweet name, just not MY personal first choice.

My daughters middle name is Marlene after my nannan. It’s a nice name in my opinion. Maybe I am bias however:)

I give the name Marlene a 5.  I don't hate it but I don't really like it either.  It's dated and old lady like.  I am generally not a fan of name ending in ene, ine or een.

There are two other similar names viz., 'Charlene' & 'Arlene'. 
Personally, I prefer 'Arlene'.

It's pretty good (7.5/10). In between being indifferent and loving it, so I like it I guess! Seems like the mix of Marlee and Arlene (my great grandmother's name). I don't know a ton of Marlene's!
