Where are some places a minor can stay while away from their parents?

I am looking to move out of my household for the time being, and need places to stay. I don't have family who are able to take me in, so I am curious if there is anywhere for me. I have the permission of my parents on the condition that I can't go to friends for help. This is a last-ditch option for me, and need somewhere safe. If there isn't, I'll be able to figure somewhere out. Thanks!

look in your city under 'social services' - there might be a teen shelter. If not, just call family and children's services or one of the other social services listed and they will be able to direct you.. or call a shelter, they might know

Without being cruel or snarky -- foster care.  Its where you go when you can't live at home and have nowhere to go.

your only option is family or friends, even if you could afford it, you can't rent anywhere.

there are runaway shelters if you need to go that root..look up covenant house.

boarding schools are very expensive...with room and board....but you can try to get a scholarship.

Ask your parents!  They may have some good ideas to solve your problems so you don't have to leave, and if you do they are the best judges of the best place for you to be.  Good Luck.

LEGALLY, I minor can live where the parents ALLOW the minor to live.

I have the permission of my parents on the condition that I can't go to friends for help.

Translation: You parents told you that YOU are incapable of living on your own.

Boarding school.   There are some very very good boarding schools, and it doesn't always cost as much as you think.  And a lot of these schools love to offer scholarships to poor students.

I'm thinking your in high school.  The seventh day Adventist church has a whole system of schools through out the US,  I think the catholic church does too.  There are also non religious schools, but they're harder to find.

You "have permission" because your parents know that there is NOWHERE for you to go.   It was easier to "give you permission" than to fight with you.

You aren't moving out.   There are no places that take in minors, aside from when a minor is actually removed from the parents custody.

There arent really any places a minor can stay without being accompanied by an adult, unless you want to talk to child protective services, and once youre in the system, you cant choose to drop back out

This is why the rich have prep schools

But, without money, family and if friends are out -  the options are limited.

Try to keep busy and  apply for a councilor in training positions at summer sleep away  camps.

If you're a minor and a girl like your username suggests then you need to stay home or report to the police station if you are made homeless by your parents.

If you have their permission to leave then I am sorry because no parents should be permitting their minor child to leave home, it sounds like they don't want you to go to a friends house because they know their parents will call Social Services on them.

This isn't acceptable, stay home if you have the option, if they are throwing you out then go straight to the police and let them know.
