dental cleaning, polisher?
I had a cleaning today and the hygienist polished some bottom teeth that were stained. I didn't really want them polished cause I don't care about stains. The teeth that were polished I could feel hurt a little. Now one is sensitive to cold and I noticed they look a little more worn down. I couldn't tell hygienist to stop cause obviously how could I. Am I being paranoid or could some of my tooth have come down from that.

When paired with tooth scaling, tooth polishing can result in smooth, white — and bacteria free — teeth. Dentists don't generally recommend trying to polish your own teeth with OTC tooth polishing kits.

The polish is only slightly more abrasive than toothpaste, it doesn't file your teeth down.

They removed the build up of tartar not any of your tooth. Yes it will feel sensitive for a while, it's lost it's winter coating.

my teeth always hurt and are more sensitive after the dentist...well they are diggin in your gums..its natural...actually this does not happen anymore because i learned how to brush my teeth better...plus i got a microbristle toothbrush...i highly reccommend one..super cheap too
