What are the symptoms of a hemolytic reaction?
Haven't received a blood transfusion, but just a general curiosity, for the answer as well as what the Yahoo! community will come up with, since this is pretty well known for having comedic responses. For those who don't know, hemolytic reactions are caused by a blood transfusion where the recipient is not compatible with the donor. Blood donations and recipients are as follows...
A+ can receive from A+, A-, O+, O-
A- can receive from A-, O-
B+ can receive from B+, B-, O+, O-
B- can receive from B-, O-
AB+ can receive from all blood types
AB- can receive from AB-, A-, B-, O-
O+ can receive from O+, O-
O- can donate to all recipients and receive only from O-
So with that, what would happen if for example O- received blood from AB+?

Just to provide perspective here that hemolytic reactions due to ABO incompatibility are quite rare with only one or two in the entire US occurring annually.
What is more common unfortunately are transfusion reactions occurring due to other antibodies associated with more less antigenic blood groups outside the ABO system of which there are twenty or so capable of causing extra-vascular hemolysis.
Of the more deadly transfusion reactions today are those associated with Transfusion Related Acute Lung Injury (TROLI) that occurs with transfused blood products. It's something similar to the manner of death in those with COVID with cytokine storm.
Needless to say one watches for all reactions usually listed on a transfusion report of symptoms related to pain, shortness of breath, fever, a drop in blood pressure and red urine for all blood products.
