We have not yet begun to pay for all the crap we dump in the oceans, but that bill is fast arriving. Due to tides and currents , some places remain clean......but it all gets washed up somewhere. Some places in the world are just a horror, with all the crap that ends up on their beaches.

Yes in many ways we are paying that price. It's almost enraging when you find out that your own town /city is still putting stuff, including medical waste, into a landfill in the flood plain of a river or is taking their recycling to a land fill of a bigger city.
