Potential difference of Eab?
After finding the Cab = 4.2 microF for the attached figure(Q. 11)
(Q.12) What potential difference Eab must be applied between points a and b so that the charge on each plate of each capacitor will have magnitude of 1 μC?

By symmetry each capacitor has a voltage Eab/2 across it.
Eab/2 = Q/C = (1*10^-6)/(2.8*10^-6) = 0.357V
Eab = 0.714V
